DIG LAZARUS DIG

Made in a fit of obsession, "Dig Lazarus Dig: a meditation on the performance of the self; Lazarus, Malcolm Tucker & Me." is a psuedo-scholarly essay about the 00s BBC political comedy The Thick of It that tries to understand the arc of main character Malcolm Tucker through  comparative analysis of Lazarus of Bethany.

Begun in late December of 2022 and completed in April of 2023, this publication visually pays homage to anti-Labour Party ads and UK Labour Party design guidelines to explore religion, modern politics, contemporary television history and song with historical allusions to fine art, photography and still from the The Thick of It through typographic design and written analysis.
